Four years ago, I, a young high school freshman, overheard my friends talking about track. They joined the sport for the first time over a month before that conversation, so I had a late start. After spring break that year, I emailed the coach and joined promptly. Curiosity drew to me to the intense sport. Today, I am such a different person because of track.
Track taught me...
Determination- Track taught me the mantra of "just do it".
Perserverence- There were many times where I didn't exactly want to work out for 3 hours at practice, but I did. Resilience caused a lifestyle shift to healthy habits in the gym and in the kitchen. Today I am majoring in Physical Education along with Public Relations in college starting this fall.
